VUDSTOK in sabina II EDITION 28-30 July 2006
The Arci Pertierra - Poggio Le Fur Moiano, Arci and territorial committee of Rieti, present in Vudstok sabina II. The initiative has the dual aim of promoting the growth of the musical sensibility of the province of Rieti, combining it with an activity of strong promotion of the area, to be achieved through a series of environmental initiatives, to be held in the municipality of Poggio Moiano and surrounding areas, rich in historical and environmental heritage.
The dual goal of the event is to offer a very wide and unusual prominence to the many musical realities operating in our territory and which are often little valued and encouraged the continuation of their activities, as well as knowledge of the territory of Poggio Moiano, with its many natural resources, historical and gastronomic, to be carried through the form of camping, which will enable participants to remain in Sabina for the duration of the event.
At the heart of the initiative, of course, music, contest, open to a limited number of groups, previously selected from those listed by a panel of quality, which is appointed by the organizing committee, before the holding of the event, between people of proven experience and expertise in the music industry. The groups selected, rigorously however, emerging with a musical activity that must somehow be "professional", will perform during the three-day event, which provides a mechanism for elimination (once again entrusted to a panel of quality) that will lead, in the last day the proclamation of the winning band, which will be given a financial award amounting to € 1,500 for allowing the winner to continue their musical activities. Frame of the event is expected to set up an area to be allocated within the hotel as a campground in the park. This will make it possible to organize a series of parallel initiatives (to be held mainly in three mornings and afternoons) to predominantly environmental: it is the intention of the organizers to promote hiking in the surrounding areas.
Also in parallel to the event will be organized cultural events, debates, food stands and display areas for the promotion of the entire territory of the province of Rieti and its businesses.
In particular, as regards the debates, we intend to organize two meetings: one to more strictly local (take for example a debate concerning the promotion of ancient villages and the upgrading of their old towns) and the other by more general topics concerning the issue today dibattutissima of common goods and its preservation and management.
