The official tests were held on a wet track because of rain fell on the international circuit of Siena in the night between Saturday and Sunday. Until a few minutes from the end I was in 2nd position, but in the last two laps, with the track gradually dried out and allowed everyone to improve performance, I was hindered by the slower riders and slipped to sixth place . The pre-final began
immediately with a technical problem that forced me to start posted by more than 40 seconds from the rest of the group, practically in 17th and last position. In just 15 laps I could recover up to 13th position by turning up time that would allow me to be safely in the top five.
